A DC COLLECTIVE OF ENCAUSTIC ARTISTS

N E X T  S H O W: WAX WORKS POP-UP at Lost Origins Gallery in Mount Pleasant. Opening reception November 10, 2017, 6:00–8:30 PM.

Washington Wax Works is a collective of six encaustic artists working in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Encaustic is hot wax. The transformative process of encasing, painting, scratching, baking, embedding, and collaging elements with this ancient medium is our passion. We push boundaries, explore and fuse together. We are: Kathleen Anderson, David Evans, Nancy Hacskaylo, Marty Ittner, Katie Dell Kaufman and Kevin Milstead.
